Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteerism is one of the many ways that the Band Program is able to provide the first-class experience that our students and families have come to expect. We ask that all families be involved in assisting our program—we can find a place for you! Read below about different teams we have set up and to find where you think your talents can be best put to use.

Competition Hosting

One of the Band Program’s largest sources of fundraising dollars—and our greatest single-day need for volunteers—are the various competitions we host throughout the year. Typically, we host a Florida Marching Band Championships regional in the fall and a Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit regional in the second semester.

Water Team

Organize and fill water jugs and bottles before all football games, competitions, and other performances and assist in ensuring all students are properly hydrated by distributing water.

Athletics Concessions

Work concessions stand at various home athletic events. Duties may include food preparation, packaging, and sales.

Football Game Parking

Direct vehicles and collect parking money at home football games.

Equipment Transportation

Assist with the towing of the band trailers and the loading and unloading of equipment and instruments for football games, competitions, and other performances.

Front Ensemble/Pit

Assist in movement and placement of front ensemble/pit equipment and instruments during performances.

Uniforms

Work with the student leaders in fittings and organization of uniforms and assist in arranging dry cleaning.

Sponsorships and Fundraising

Develop and communicate sponsorship information to potential local business and corporate sponsors.

Props

Assist in design and construction of props and other equipment necessary for our ensembles throughout the year.

Student Nutrition

Plan, prepare, and distribute student meals on football game and competition days.
